Core Consultants Project Director Grant Axman-Friend recently presented to 60 plus attendees at the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) Continuing Professional Development industry education and networking event last Thursday evening in Brisbane.
Grant was invited to present at the Brisbane AIPM event to provide industry expert advice on delay and disruption matters, for major complex building and infrastructure projects.
Grant’s presentation ‘Managing and Assessing Time Delays’ provided an expert’s perspective to identify delays, explore how delays are assessed, examine delay assessment methodologies, understand delay costs, and consider ways to better manage delays.
The management and assessment of delay claims is a highly specialised area. Grant’s presentation at the AIPM event generated a great deal of discussion and debate on how to anticipate and mitigate protracted and expensive claims and disputes.
Grant has provided expert advice to industry over the last 10 years on road infrastructure projects, power generation and transmission projects, LNG plant construction, mine site and port infrastructure projects, light rail infrastructure projects, and residential and commercial building projects.
Grant has completed expert witness training through UNSW and has presented at Expert Conclave, Tribunal and Commonwealth Public Works Committee hearings.
Grant will be presenting this presentation to the Sunshine Coast Chapter of AIPM in the next few months, which will be hosted by Core Consultants at our Maroochydore office. Follow us on our social media channels to keep posted.
